Heterocyclic compounds are an important class of in the field pharmaceutical and synthetic organic chemistry. The Schiff bases contain azomethine linkages which obtained by condensation aldehyde/ketone with amines. Among various types bases, chalcone-based play a vital role treatment ailments applications, can be synthesized using different chalcones as starting materials. These were techniques like conventional means synthesis, microwave-assisted reaction, heterocyclic catalyst-mediated synthesis also trituration. chalcone or bis-chalcone-based their derivatives -C=N linkage exhibits activities including antimicrobial, anticancer, antioxidant, antidiabetic immunosuppressant activities. Beyond these activities, used chemical industries fluorescent sensors, major chemistry coordination intermediates. This review discusses numerous strategies along applications medicine. Thus, this will helpful developing more effective drug-like scaffolds for use future drug design.
